Editorial Policy

Accuracy and sourcing

Every specification, number or factual claim on the site traces to a source — a manufacturer manual or spec sheet, the product listing, a published standard, or a named reference — and product pages show the date the source was read. We do not publish figures from memory. Where a maker doesn’t publish a spec, we label it “Not published” rather than estimating. Our full evaluation process is on the methodology page.

No fabrication, ever

We never invent reviews, ratings, review counts, testimonials, or “in our testing” claims. Where a recommendation rests on published specifications rather than hands-on time, we say so plainly. We do not run a listening lab and we don’t pretend to. This is a firm line, not a preference.

Prices

Prices come only from a live data layer that pulls current figures from Amazon and stamps them with the date. If that refresh stops, prices expire within 48 hours and the site falls back to “Check price on Amazon.” We would rather show no number than a stale one.

Independence

Recommendations are made on merit and buyer fit. We accept no payment, sponsorship or free products in exchange for coverage or a favorable pick, and commission never decides a recommendation — details on the affiliate disclosure page.

Review cadence

We review our roundups and picks on a rolling basis, roughly quarterly, and update the “last updated” date only when a page actually changes — we don’t bump dates cosmetically. Specs are re-checked against the current manufacturer source when a product is revised.

Corrections

If we get something wrong, we want to know. Email us through the contact pageand flag the page and the error. We check the claim against its source, fix it promptly if you’re right, and — if the correction is material — note that the page was updated. Getting it right matters more to us than being right the first time.
